Our Philosophy and overview of services
At The Gait Center we are truly dedicated to our patients and it shows in our unique approach to providing physical therapy. While the majority of other providers focus on high volume scheduling where most of your treatment time is spent with aids or technicians, our focus is on providing comprehensive One-on-One care with your licensed therapy professional for your entire treatment session.
Our facility is specifically designed to meet our patients’ needs. You will not find rows of equipment much like a fitness center you might attend for personal training. Instead, every detail of The Gait Center has been custom designed with thoughtful consideration for the individual rehabilitation needs of our patients. We provide likely the world’s longest Parallel Bars, Balance Equipment, a Custom Stair-Ramp-Curb Assembly, Large open areas for Agility Training, a 40 yard Indoor Running Track, as well as Quiet, Private Treatment Areas as we are a very hands-on manual therapy center.
At The Gait Center you will receive a head to toe evaluation to determine the complexities of your concerns. We don’t just treat your symptoms, more importantly, we research to determine the root cause of your symptoms so that you can return to the highest level of function in the least amount of time. Our therapists receive advanced training across the spectrum of diagnoses and there is almost no complexity we have not worked with here in our unique center. We are truly prepared to help you with whatever orthopedic, neurologic, athletic, older pediatric, geriatric, balance, and even limb loss complexities you may be facing.
You can be assured every resource at our disposal will be used to help you succeed in meeting your rehabilitation goals here at The Gait Center. We have established in-house partners like Rock Steady Boxing (for Parkinson’s) and our foundation Mission Gait to expand our scope of unique services and provide much needed educational resources for the global community. Our history and reputation also afford us close relationships with renowned Orthopedists, Neurologists, Family Physicians, Durable Medical Suppliers, Prosthetic and Orthotic facilities, and institutions of higher education. All of these valuable connections and partnerships are utilized to bring the highest level of care to you the patient….the true focus of our efforts!
