Nikki Anderson, PT, DPT, NCS
Nikki completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2014 from Saint Francis University of Pennsylvania, in Loretto, PA. Prior to graduate school, she earned a double major in Exercise Physiology and Health Science, also at Saint Francis University. While in school Nikki found her love of serving on mission trips, traveling to the Dominican Republic, and then multiple missions over the course of 4 years to Maggotty, Jamacia at Holy Spirit Mission Church.
The first six years of Nikki’s career were spent in inpatient rehabilitation at VCU working mostly with the neurologic population; stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. This is where her passion for this patient population developed! She then went on to complete the rigorous continuing education required to earn her Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist title in 2020, working with Parkinson’s Disease, MS, SCI, TBIs CVAs and other neurologic disorders.
While working at Sheltering Arms Institute, Nikki developed their brain injury program and served as the lead brain injury PT. She then expanded her experience, working as an acute care PT at VCU Health on all units, from ICU, step down, to general care. We were thrilled to welcome Nikki to the Gait Center family in 2022! The knowledge and skillset that she brings to the team is such a gift to patients.
Nikki is a HUGE Penn State Football Fan!! HUGE!!... Her love of family is just as big! She enjoys life with her husband, little daughter, friends, and playing with her two golden retrievers.
